17th Annual Duck Splash Race!
Join us on Sunday, June 8, at noon, in the Town of Occoquan for the 17th Annual Duck Splash. Watch hundreds of numbered yellow rubber ducks drop from the Route 123 bridge into the Occoquan River and race to a finish line. "Adopt" ducks in advance for $5 each and win a cash prize if they are among the first 10 adopted ducks to cross the finish line. First prize is $500, second through fifth prize is $100, and sixth through 10th prize is $20. And we keep picking them out of the river until all 10 places are awarded to adopted ducks.
All the net proceeds from this event benefit the 501(c)(3) organization, Patriots for Disabled Divers (PFDD), which uses scuba as a therapeutic tool for wounded warriors. This event takes place during the Town of Occoquan's spring RiverFest & Craft show, but you need not be present to win. You may adopt your ducks online below using a credit card between now and June 6. On June 7th and 8th you may adopt ducks at a booth at the RiverFest & Craft Show.

You will receive a confirmation of payment immediately (from the Occoquan Tourism Co) and typically within 48 hours will receive an email indicating the numbers of the ducks you have adopted (please try to ensure the email address you use is correct and if you have not received an email within 48 hours of purchase please check your spam folder).
